Hey guys
for some reason my engine is leaking oil from the oil drain sump bolt..
Ive tightened it as far as it can go (without over tightening of course), still leaks gradually
I took it off when I did an oil change ,and applied gasket goo to the threads and the top.. still leaks
Anyone had this problem before, what is the solution? A new bolt?
I read somewhere every time you do an oil change you need to replace the washer or something, not sure?
thanks
Change the copper/aluminium crush washer, also check whether it's actually leaking from the rubber seal at the top but looks like its leaking from the plug when the oil flows down

I had this problem too man, never let an apprentice change the oil in your engine. I get a new bolt and washer everytime I do an oil change

wow.. that's a bit extreme. I've been using the same bolt for some years and it's still good. Only washer is needed I reckon.

your missing your o ring buddy!, just go get a new fresh sump plug with o ring, you won't get the problem at all this way. just incase your sump plug is a bit rotted

new bolt and washer everytime? dayum, but you do see people buy them. I just reuse the bolt and plonk on a new washer. Only bought a new bolt when I bought the car as mine was fked from the guys who used to work on it, lol. I tried the magnetic bolts before but you soon realise why Honda make them larger and out of better material, lol
