Hey guys

So my passenger front wheel is pushed further back than the driver side wheel

Tried changing over the LCA as I read if it is bent this would be the cause... It was slightly bent, i replaced it (bitch of a job btw lol) however it has not fixed the problem

Further reading suggests the supension subframe needs to be pushed forward to a 0-1 degree caster?

Does anybody know of any diagrams or can kindly point me in the right direction to do this?

My wheels need an alignment anyway, pehaps I could just ask the suspension place to do it for me while they do the alignment.. as there'd be no point of me paying for an alignment if the subframe is out of wack?

Has anybody got the subframe adjusted before and can provide me with a rough estimate

thankyou!!!

subfame ? Best to just replace it. Its a single pressed piece and you can get another one off another car.

Dont think its common for UCA to be bent? I read anyway that the wheel would be pushed forward not backwards if the UCA was bent..

Damnit.. I bought a DA wreck and got it towed away after taking parts off it, didnt know about the subframe til now :S

thanks all

if the uca gets bent backwards towards the rear of the car, what do you think happens to the knuckle? it doesn't move forward, that's for sure

Hmm.. how can I tell if the uca is bent? I dont want to fork out for a new one to find it doesn't fix the problem again..

Some workshops such as Pedders can do a full suspension "diagnostics" for around $120-150 which will show every fault n kink in ur suspension to 0.1 of a degree front n rear. Might be worth getting that done before as u said forking out bucks on something that doesnt fix the prob. I had a similar problem n actually found a workshop (here in SA) that checked my suspension n found the prob free of charge :)

Tyrepower / WEB Suspension Holden Hill, this was over two years ago n since then the dude that ran the suspension side of things no longer works there so u won't get the same professional job as bak then, but I'm still pretty certain they'll check it out free of charge.
