cant find a ej8 rear bar. will a hatch or sedan fit?

try an find a em1 rear bar if you cant find the ej8 one, or make a WTB thread,

not 100% sure the sedan rear bar will fit though

having a hard time finding a ej8 or em1 rear bar. most wreckers laugh when i ask for one and they say good luck.
i've tried hontoys, honbits, formula one etc.. the known honda wreckers . will start asking local small wreckers.

i have a wtb thread but so far no luck.

even considering a fibreglass rear...

just get a sedan one then. they fit, same mounting points. Ull have to get a 99/00 one if u dont want those ugly plastic side moldings on it

sedan is not the same part number as the coupe, might want to measure your connection points on your bar against the sedan bumper

new theyre under 600 for an em1 bumper unpainted

ej8 rear bar fits perfectly on a sedan pre-facelift. i have one on mine, and it fits perfectly, i got mine for 30bux from a dude on here

EM1 rear bars are like uber rare in AUS lol. Well theres an ej8 rear bar at umm a wrecker on the horsely drive (smithfield section). I don't remember the name of the place but they do other cars other than honda. This was like 2 years ago, chances are it's still there as people don't really know it sells honda parts. Give a few calls there.

hitted up smithfield area last weekend. one wrecker said he sld an ej8 the day before. i think all coupe are hard to get.

racenation can get them in for 199.

^ can anyone confirm. a lot of people say they will fit but the original holes wont line up.

i'm not too worried as long as its an oem fitment. cause i can always drill new holes/cable ties.

can so confirm cause it will be saving me $100+

Yes they are interchangeable. you need to get a 99/00 sedan one though if you want to put a EM1 lip on it later down the track

Not true.

Ej8 rear bars dont have mouldings whilst prefacelift sedans do.

Em1 rear bars are identical to facelift (99-00) sedans.

Ej8 and em1 are not identical because of the bottom flare.

They will all fit on the 96-00 model civic.

Yes they are interchangeable. you need to get a 99/00 sedan one though if you want to put a EM1 lip on it later down the track

em1 lips can fit a 96-98 ej8 rear bar perfectly with some easily made brackets :)
