hi all da honda lovers and experts!!,
i jsut wnna say this web site rox and 'im loving it mate' and honda is such 'a amzing machine' !!
im having this prob with my vtec controller , and im not very good with cars. so hopefully u guys can help me out.
i have this 'Field Boxer Series' Vtec and fuel system controllerin my car, and the time i bought my car it was alrdy installed. so i have no idea with this Vtec controller.
wat went wrong is a friend of mine was helping me to tidy up all da wires under da dash the other day. he was suggesting me to hide da wire which is from da controller under da dash. and after taking da dash out and bak. everything seems fine. but on da way bak home, i noticed tat da number shower on da controller is totally not match with da meter on da dash board!! like da rev is lower, around 3000 different, and da vtec point is lower as well. so be4 i set my vtec point at 5000 and vtec does kick in at 5000(tats wat it was showing on da controller), but while da rev on da orginal meter is still 2500!! i was like wat da~!?!?
i tried to unplug da battery for 24 hr, (ppl say tat can reset da ECU? i dont noe, me so noob) and its still da same.....so im stuck..

im driving a 93 EG SiR, with Spoon ECU.

plz help
thx yall heaps!!!!

You might have reset some of the ECU functions on the ECU when you moved the wires. Maybe a small short or something. Try checking for any setting in the ecu which has and adjustment for RMP readings. I rem on the Wolf 3d that i had was able to have some adjustments there. otherwise your gonna have to get more specific on the unit your have and see an aftermarket ECU specialist

Ring the guy you bought it off and ask for manual for the v-tec controller.

man if you have the spoon ECU, throw the Field's VTEC controller in the bin.. the vtec controller will upset the spoon-reprogramed ECU.. or do you mean it has an eBay 'Spoon' chip ??

I've looked into the Fields SFC-VTEC 'Boxer' and while is is an OK unit, it is not very usefull and IMO you'd be better off running from the 'spoon' ECU.

wah! your english is hard to understand!! :D

anyways check all your connections, make sure none are loose.
When your controler says 5000 and your tacho says 2500 how does your engine sound?? is it revving high yet?? so which is right?
