cd5 air conditioner not working

Hi All,


As stated the air conditioner is not working. Heater seems fine.

Noticed the problem about a month ago, thought it was low on gas and had it re-gassed and still no good.

Checked the fan and condenser fuse and they seem fine.

So before I take be back to the air conditioner/ electrical workshop, just like to know of any similar problems and what the issues were. At least that way I can be armed with some information before I get it sorted.

well, has your car been under any engine conversion? if so maybe the aircon isn't wired up. Or another issue is you need to replace your valve piping. mine was frozen, and blocked, so i had to get mine replaced, aircon was working just that the cool air wasnt going into the car. set me back 200, but yerh, best check with your mechanic. He will tell you what is wrong and give you a place to fix it.

climate control or the ordinary one?
my climate control unit went bad last month.
symptom is that when i first turn it on it blows cold air, then stop after awhile (say 15-30mins later)
replace climate control unit and its all good now.
