cracks/fades

I got a 92 Civic Si.

I dont know the exact name i think its the door seals, but anyway its the between the outside of your door and your window.

Mine is faded and cracked. I went to a honda wrecker but they told me that theirs is the same. Im sure others have had this problem just wondering what ppl did about it. Paint it? New part? If so how much did this cost?

you talking about the strip with the urethane paint ?

yeah mine has chipped off to chrome / stainless underneath..

LOOKS bloody ugly chipping off !!

remove strips and get them re-painted in Urethane paint..

i know what your talking about, i have the exact same problem.... looks all grotty and stuff lol.... apparently its been in the sun too long :P dunno how to fix it.... looks a bit more shiny with some grease but doesnt remove the look... i can post some pics up lata if i have time mo 8)

So Urethane paint eh? where would i go to get that done?

yeah i got the same prob with my car. dunno how to fix it either, but it's only on the driver side door.

I got a early 94 Civic and my door seal thing is still black. The harsh elements are no good for the car. I always try to park undercover. Maybe you can paint it with black paint?

its starting to happen on my EK, but its all rubber.
I use armoural. seems to protect it well :P

Yeah I Armorall the whole interior to keep it nice and shiny :)

It has chipped as well on my civic EK, but it's still black. I think it's made of rubber. Anyway.. the car's gone now :P
