HID Bulb or HID Ballasts

Hi,

I notice that one of my HID lights is not as blue as the other light. Both are meant to 8000k. One of them shines with the tinge of blue perfectly but the other globe seems to be dimmer without the blue tinge but more so green. Its noticably different.

Would this be the bulb or the ballast? I also notice that they both have the same brightness when you turn on the lights but after a few minutes the other light seems to be dimmer.

Any help would be great.

from what you say, i think its the bulb. I dont think the ballast has anything to do with it. It might be due to defect in the bulb and poor quality check form the manufacturer. Follow up to the seller and ask for an exhange if you can.
