anyone have a 2inch + drop on a civic with a body kit? do you get lots of scrapping with it?

you might want to specify what civic and what bodykit, with what wheels.

I got no bodykit, low king springs on a Ek civic hatch with 15's and i cant reverse down a normal driveway.

:)

Your safest answer is BROKEN BODYKIT within a week.

you could get 16 - 17 inch rims,
just a suggestion cause this will jack your car up a lil

yup i've got the same prob, dropped it 2" and i scrap over speed humps no-matter how slow i go. But i know its just the mud guards on the front so i'm not too worried. I would be if i had a body kit!

i got 17's on an eg with full kit, only scrapes when you het cocky and try to go up/down big driveways and stuff. Just be careful and you will be right.

I have a full body kit dropped 2 inches, with 17 inch rims, I have no problems with scraping unless Im an idiot and approach a speed hump/ driveway at 50kph. Thats the sacrifice you make if you want a kit.

I have a ek and have dropped it with superlow king springs but with 17 " rims with tyre 205 40 17. I have a front lip and it will only scrape on very steep areas but speed bumps and most driveways seem to be ok.

Ek4 dropped 2 inches with no lips and no bodykit... rides on 15 inch wheels...

will still scrape on some dips in the road... jacked up the car and saw scrapes on the header

I dunno how to explain this but EKs are very "low" cars even stock... i'm not talking about the distance from the wheel-wells to the tyres... i'm talking just from the exhaust piping to the ground... even with stock suspension, ur piping and headers are very very low

Yeah, having bigger rims will compliment your kit more aswell!!

a set of 17's, should solve your problem

it all depends on how experienced you are at taking steep/uneven driveways/ramps. you need to learn how to get up them/down them with the right angle and speed. you'll also need to be very confident with clutch control.

my friend's tx-3 has a bodykit and sits literally 6-7cms off the ground coz he has stock wheels on now (14's as opposed to his old 17's) and can get up his driveway which is the most farked up driveway ever. steep incline and sharply angled from the road. he manages to get up it daily with little scrapage at all.

on a side note, i'm about 10cms from the ground, kit wise with one intercooler pipe sitting about 8cms from the ground and i can manage to get up any driveway/ramp (including aforementioned mate's) with little to no scrappage. i roll on 16's.

it's not the kit you should be worried about (unless the bottom of the front bar sticks out abit) but more the undercarriage. if your exhaust isn't tucked up into the body and/or it's oversized, it'll scrape on reasonably sized speedhumps.

the only time i had trouble with speed humps was when i first got my coilovers in and the rear was set to about 3" (maybe more) lower so the exhaust system was fairly close to the ground. i've since raised the car to a more practicle height (still freakin low but not crazy low). anyone who's seen my car recently can vouch...

its so bad, ive got my stock jdm front lip on my ef8, and everytime i take a speedbump or a half-steep driveway i flinch bad. gives me a heart attack every time - but its worse when it actually scrapes :(

hahaha.. man i scrape like crazy everywhere. my front is hella low (glad my front bar can withstand it)

mines dumped on 15's... (rear needs more dumpage)

this is a photo of it from side view. can just fit my toes on the front. lol..
