hey guys, i was thinking, would my EK4 brake setup be enough for a B18CR? reason being is that i want to keep my rims at the same time install the B18CR later on. So the question is, will it pass engineering? has anyone done it before?
That's fine man. Though you can upgrade.. (not necessary) to a 282mm disc from ITR or Prelude redrilled to 4x100.

if youre going to track the car then its better to get 282mm if just street then ek4 is fine

personally i'd upgrade to the b18 front calipers & rotors at least, it does make a big difference
Engineering it won't be a problem whichever you get, they don't seem to pick on the brakes for some reason.

The reason that ek4 brakes pass , is because that size (262mm front) came standard on the same sized engines and chassis ( dc2 vtir and dc4) so legally and performance wise these brakes are fine.
I atleast recommend to upgrade front and rear pads to something nicer and run nicer tyres
im running ek4 brakes on my egb18R, slotted rotors and ACRE pads, and using AP racing 5.1 dot brake fluid and it stops like a dream....for street slotted discs, good pads and good fluid is a must...you wont go wrong. and as benji said ^^^ good quality tyres will make a big difference aswell, im running khumo ku36's that combo for me work well
