Radar detector WA roads

Yes these are ONLY legal in WA. Not in the other states. Quote me if I'm wrong.

Personally wouldnt bother with a radar detector, as police are now bringing out a new band which will almost make them obsolete, also they go off for shopping centre/petrol stations which can get annoying at times.

They go on anything thats an infer red light. which is why they go off at servo doors and shopping center doors. Cops are upgrading to a HD band (from what i've been told) and thats awsome that their legal in w.a lol.. I know their illegal in vic a mate of mine got done with one but nothing happend all they did was take it off him lol? is there ment to be a fine? is their fines for it in other states?

Yes, i think any dectectors you buy now will be obsolete in 18 months?!? So i am hesitant about spending that money, although i really want one too
