So i was thinking of purchasing an EK GLi for cheap where the engine has already done lots and LOOOTS of kms... then finding a b18c7 and droppin that into the ek.
then i asked my mate on what he thought about the whole thing and he said it's gonna cost a shitload of $$$$$
could anyone here give me like a list of everything that needs to be changed and how much they will all cost?
cheers

Well remebering its a d series to start off with, so wiring has to be changed, gear box, brakes etc.

buy a car already converted, fair few around, unless you happen to have done extensive work to yours already

find one thats already got the conversion, saves time and money, and yes ek4 is a great car, was orginally looking at one myself, also an ek4 has already got the wiring for a b series engine which is also a plus.

even if u buy a car with a truck load of kms and put a brand new engine in, everything else is going to be worn out. such as seat belt retractors, sqeaky peddals, worn bushes and other susspension componants etc etc... you can usually tell a lot of the overall condition of a car by the doors close.

Either buy a car that has a B16A standard like this (http://firesport.com.au/b16a-ef9-sir-civic-for-sale-car-trading-point-sales--ad147488.htm)...
...OR, get an already swapped car that just needs a little work like this (http://firesport.com.au/eg-civic-with-b18c2-6000-car-trading-point-sales--ad150155.htm).

b18c7 ek > turbo D series ek anytime of the day.
you would be able to fang it all day and not be worried about anything busting.
proper turbo set up on a D will prob cost the same if not more.
