Hey Guys,

Girlfriend's rolling around in a 88' Crx now, so figured its time to do the little bits and pieces necessary.

(and yes I know another nub ED/EF Related question in this fine section)

I seem to have forgotten what I knew...

As I recall the EF and ED (crx and civic) airbox's are a close fit if not interchangable, right?

Same applies for B-series also? (so D16a8 airbox on a B16a1, right?)

Was wondering (while I go to the wreckers) if there are infact compatible airbox's that will fit i.e from an EG or EK? (that aren't directly from the 2G crx)

Anyone got an idea's?

(inb4 use a CAI)

only fuel injected CRXs and civics are interchangeable. the ED was carby and the filter element is not of the panel variety, intake is also not suitable

D16A8 should fit on B16A.

An EG pipe and airbox can be made to fit but you'll have to relocate the battery.

Cheers Mark

Was more using the ED as a base (I believe people have used DA9 airbox's for them during conversions)

Will have a look and see how I go.

ED9 isn't carby, it's fuel injected, not all airboxes are interchangeable. But finding an EF airbox is quite hard as there is high demand on the market. It should be easy to get a ED9 airbox from a wrecker

I mean ED civics are carby. ED crxs are EFI

I dummy fitted a DA9 airbox into an ED civic with no luck. You could probably modify it to fit but definately wont just bolt it

I was able to get a DA9 airbox to fit, but involved a lot of cutting, why dont you just put a performance air filter in it??

or did i miss something here?

That is quiet common sense but I do thank you for pointing it out, frankly thats why I was looking for something that would be similar and or compatible within reason for the purpose of my wallet.

Will keep an eye out for an ED9 airbox though I have my doubts that it'll be something I'll want to hear the cost on.

Will get back to you <3

Modifying with cable ties and a knife doesn't bother me all that much, just want it to be functional, standard and not as defective as the shit in there now.

Cheers Chris.

Frankly at this stage it has a CAI sort of thing which frankly is a defect, the idea of being pulled over (my girlfriend or I) isn't exactly what we want.

Frankly once I get the airbox going it'll have a K&N filter.

Sadly there were no concerto's for me to check out at Boss (like a boss) today

Frankly I haven't liked the mesh since day 1

You also know what else needs an airbox man, so trying to work that shit out.
