View Full Version : d16y8 header = d16y4 header ???
hey guys.
i have to change my d16y8 header but i am wondering is it interchangeable with the d16y4 header?
i know they are different and the catalytic converter is in a different spot but could it be done?

U mean just the stock headers?
U can get good cheap aftermarket ones off ebay...way better than stock.

D-series headers generally fit other D-series. I'd get a set of D16A8 headers or some cheap $150 set from ebay - flow much better than stock and also you save some weight.
guys your ignoring the thread topic here. i asked a clear question and am while i understand there is aftermarket support with headers etc im looking at oem. anyone with info?

run a piece of pipe instead lol
Don't understand what you mean mate...it just sits between the headers and exhaust...and I thought you only had a problem with the header?
if you have a look at the d16y7 header the cat is incorporated in it. it goes from 4-1straght into the cat instead of 4-2+cat or 4-1+cat. i do have a problem with my header so im asking if i can just change it to the d16y4 one and extend the wiring for the exhaust sensor.?
