Civic weather strip

I can't find a tutorial on this. I just want to know how I can remove the door strip that runs along the window and the door. Mine has gone all old, I just want to sand it down and respray it. My car is 97 civic sedan.

Some spineless person stole mine, it was flaky and discoloured anyway, but still. should have a series of white clip which have tabs which need to be pressed in and the strip lifted up. so basically lift it up slightly so you can see the clip, using a very thin flat blade screw driver, poke between the strip and the door surface and push in the tab on the clip, strip should come up.

Its usually easier to remove them from the inside of the door. which will require removing the interior door trim. you'll be less likely to break any clips that way too
