How you going guys my name's Moe. I'm from Sydney, am in year 11 and i get my P's in August. I've been looking at Accord Euro's for a while, as my dad wants to get me one for my first car. I've seen a few but all out of my dad's price range. I'm looking for a luxury model for 12-13k. Is that unrealistic?

I've seen a few but with either high K's or interstate, I think a few months and the prices will go down further, but i'm constantly on the lookout.

Unfortunately I think others are right, a luxury is out of your 13k budget... why not just look for a nice base model euro.. or even a sport? but i think those too are above 13k...

How about getting a job and chipping in 5k with your dad then you can get something for sure!

Considering its your first car, why dont you save your dad's cash and get something a little cheaper, after all it is your first car

My first car (which I still use) was a 3k, 240,000 km integra, and Im glad I got that instead of a nicer car considering all the 'mishaps' Ive had with it being a young driver with a newly acquired liscence. Just a thought

yeah +1 to getting a cheaper car see so many p platers in brand new or expensive 2nd hand cars with dings or major damage etc. not worth the risk. at least wait til your 2nd year of green p's. if you wanna look like a mad kent driving to school in a flash car perhaps get an older model accord or something or maybe a civic etc depending on wat look you want to go for. tuner vip jdm etc.

for 13k you could buy other nice honda's try convince your dad for maybe something like a del sol crx, civic ek4 vti-r hatch, civic coupe em1 or integra vti-r... there all nice cars and seem to be what alot of young p platers are getting now...

I think my dad would go up to 15k for the right car. In regards to getting a job, i'm too focused on my studies for that! lol. I'm surprised at the prices we sold a 04 Euro luxury, auto with 55k km for $21000 three years ago.
Maybe getting a cheaper car is a good idea, like a civic and fixing her up. But we had such a good experience with our car that my mum has her mind set on one for me, and she wants to drive a zippy VTEC again (she drives a CX-9).
I think you guys are right maybe reconsider, but hey still four months till i need a car anyway.

BTW my dad says i need a four door car since ive got 2 siblings. don't know that works since a coupe has four seats, but Oh Well its his money in the end!

LOL you can fit 2 ppl in back easily of a 2 door. why not a 4 door civic or just the base model euro, 15k will get you a reasonable one. I just checked car sales, good luck getting a luxury for anything below 20k lol

Since I dont work, we have a sort of non-verbal agreement. I do well at school and I can have what i want... within limitations ofcourse
