heys guys this is my first post hope you guys can help me out

usually with my car the abs does a buzzing sound for like 2seconds when i turn the car on then 10seconds after that again.

today i turned the car on it done the buzzing sound but this time for about 15seconds then stops i turn the car off then back on and the same thing happens.. this is the first time its done this...i checked break fluid and the reservoir but both are on good levels.

just another question for dc2 owners when you turn the ignitions on just for reds and dont turn the car on is there a abs light available cause my light doesn't seem to pop up on the reds?

what to do

about the buzzing noise. it is when the abs motor is charging/starting. u will find it does it also if u go for a hard drive and u are heavy on the brakes.
hondas are known for their loud abs motors. so it is nothing to worry about.
as to the abs light it should come on when u put ur reds on. sorry i couldnt help out much with that side of ur post

isnt the 2sec buzzing sound usually the fuel pump priming up?

that is correct the fuel pump does have a humm/buzz when priming, but the abs motor does aswell to charge up its alot louder then the fuel pump.

has happened to 90% of all prefacelifted tegs out there. The Prefacelift teg came with a high presssure ABS system.

The problem originated in the past when the abs brake fluid was left to emty. This caused premature wear on the abs motor/pump/thing hence the annoying buzz. This does NOT affect the units operation. The damage is done and the only remedy is to replace it with a BRAND NEW (not used) abs unit - really no point not to mention the cost.

Best thing to do is to keep the abs fluid topped up.
