On a Ek its not too bad, as i have done this myself

Eg is a bit harder as the g/box bracket is welded on the chassis as far as i know

Ed ??? depending on g/box bracket (not mount) and rear T bracket and mount. Im sure there would be tonnes of info on Honda-Tech or d-series if you search.

from a wiring point of view or a mechanical (fitting it) point of view? or both?

Mechanical... I had a look, the auto firewall doesn't have a hole for a cable connecting to the gearbox, i presume this is the clutch cable. Not sure about other parts as im yet to take apart the interior in my manual car.

I will be doing this on my ED6 conversion soon.

Just need the full pedal set and clutch cable and of course a manual gear box.

There is a definitely a hole in the firewall for the cable to run through as I have compared an auto and manual ED side by side at PnP.

The less stressful way of removing the pedal set in your car is to remove the whole dash and anything under the steering column.
Once that is off there should be 4 or so nuts which hold the auto pedal set.
Undo the nuts, accelerator cable and the pin which locks the brake pedal to the master cylinder and the whole pedal set should pop off.

I think that should be it.

here's what im talking about,

in the manual car i have this:

see circled in blue, is a cable that connects on the gearbox. What is this cable? Is this not the clutch cable? See pic below of the auto car, where its missing.

One should be the speedo cable and the other should be the clutch cable.

what you have circled in blue is the clutch cable. often the material has been "stamped", so even though your auto doesn't have the hole the position might be there? you'll have to check closely

yeah i plan to do this shortly. I just need to finish my suspention this weekend and will confirm. The one furthest from the brake mc&booster is the speedo cable.

not sure if that was a question, but yes. you can see the grommet on mine in this pic, just to the right of my fuel filter. I've filled it with silicon as the new speedo is electronic

Here is a pic of my ED6's bay which is also an auto.

The black hole is where the clutch cable should go through (I think) and the blue is where the speedo cable goes.

This was pluged up with a rubber grommet which I just pulled out.
