Took my car and got it serviced today; they thought the fuel pressure was too high at 60psi and reduced it to 45psi. My car has been tuned with the fuel pressure at 60psi, will my car run normally and have the same performance with the fuel pressure at 45psi?

wtf ?
sounds like they just detuned your car ..sounds right to me too...
logically if the pressure isnt right for the car by the way its been tuned that may mean its actually staving of fuel ?? but im only guessing...
the engine does need to run in balance with everything around it... so decreasing something such as this i guess could pose a problem... can sumone confirm ???
im just guessing here... sorry

WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF??????????????????????????

who turned your fuel pressure down!!!!!

who turned it up to 60 in the first place?

if it was 'tuned' at 60psi then it will LEAN THE **** OUT if you turn it down to even 55psi!

it's cool, spoke with the owner, he understands the situation and will be getting it checked out by the tuner...

and 60psi wasn't overkill ;)

Thanks for the help guys, turned the FPR back up to *around* where it was, but will get it set exactly tomorrow.

and kick their ass for screwing with your tuned settings. A stock ITR runs at 50psi. A 43psi pump pressure will starve the engine of fuel in VTEC and will blow it up within a week if you continue to use VTEC. Take it easy :)

Thanks to all especially tinkers for the advice. Got this sorted today, the correct fuel pressure I needed was 60psi hose ON.

Don't they ask you first before they go ahead and do something like that? Sounds like something major for someone to go ahead and not asking. Its just like stuffing around with someones car.
