i got a 94 accord vti-s with the sohc vtec engine..
just wondering when vtec comes on for other ppl.. for me i think it is 3000rpm.. but sometimes i think it comes on earlier..

I think its more like 2500 RPM, but im not 100% sure exactly :rolleyes:

i have fitted cold air induction to mine which is the only mod ive done and i can here a distinct change in engine noise at 3k but sometimes it changes..
would fitting a vtec controller to these engines be a waste of time?

3,000rpm is the normal point, it can however come in anywhere between about 2,300 and 3,200rpm depending on manifold pressure

and yeh a VTEC controller is a waste of time

Generally I find the more it goes the more it picks up in mine. Definitely by 2500 it's noticeable and by 3000+ it gets stronger and stronger up until about 5500 or so. It doesn't really drop off after that, just kind of levels out.
