Hey guys ive done a bit of research but its come up fairly inconclusive, so i was wondering if someone could shed some light on this. I have an EK1 with stock control arms and im wondering whether or not i can get ek4 coilovers to fit the arms straight bolt on? Im looking at a set of Teins that are being sold for an ek4 and was just wondering if i'd have to change control arms. Cheers.

No need to change anything else to get the coilovers in other than to get a good alignment afterwards.

as above, same rule applies for locally delivered ek, em and ej series.

Aight becuase they're coming from Japan so i thought i might just check. Its a cxi as well and ive read around that their control arms are different but wanted to make sure.

Front control arms are different on the Cxi compared to Gli/Vtir in that they do not have the holes in the control arm to mount front swaybars. If you want to mount front swaybars you will need control arms off an EK Gli/Vtir (not sure about ej, though em control arms should have swaybar mount holes).

yup thats the only difference...all ek/ej8/em1 take the same dampners

you can also use coilovers off eg and dc teggies as long as theyre not for eg6 or dc2-R
