im kind of new to cars so please give me a break :o
im planning on getting a car and doing an engine swap - mates going to help me(his a mechanic).
i want to go manual,
so what i was wondering was if i get an auto car and do the engine swap, say b16a vtec engine install the clutch pedal and change the box and all that
OR
would it be cheaper if i just got a manual car to begin with?

auto car being 4k
manual car around 6k
from the ones ive found

thanks in advance :)

what car is it to begin with?

sounds like an eg or ek.

since it sounds like your not so knowledgable, take the easy route and go manual straight away, hold out abit, 2k difference is quite alot, im sure youll find one if your patient.

also, if its an ek, its very straight forward regardless auto or manual when your doing the swap,
if its an eg, its also straight forward but a few things youll need to source such as a particular auto->manual engine mount and alsofiguring out how to cover the hole from the tranny swap. - it can be done and i've done both of these, its not hard at all.

also take into account thetime required between buying the car and actually doing the swap!
