Do you mean the thrust bearing on the clutch? The bearing makes funny noises when you release the clutch? They come in clutch kits so if it fails just buy a new clutch kit instead of the bearing, otherwise there's a spigot bearing and an input shaft bearing on the gearbox. They all wear over time man

hmm, i might be getting this as well, when i shift at higher revs, its a buzzing noise. when i shift slowly and low revs and grandma around, i get no noise.
how long before something actually ****s up? or can i grandma around for a while, or is it an immediate fix it now or car will blow up thing?

if its a bearing sound, wouldn't just your clutch go or something???

Well right now the clutch seems to be grabbing just fine, no slipping or any signs of usual clutch wear. It's only when I'm accelerating relatively hard and I push the clutch pedal in does it buzz. But when I release the pedal it's fine

my GF's on the forum clubbcappo, she had a very similar problem to u guys - hers was wen she presses or releases the clutch, the car made a slight whirring nose. anyways after a thread was posted - sum of the guys over at club cappo were pretty def that the clutch release bearing was on its way out and reccomended replacing that bearing (clutch was tops though, jus the bearing)

hope this helps

so what was the cost on something like that. im assuming its cheaper than a complete clutch kit

I also want to know.
my bearing is starting to make noise when i let go of the clutch pedal.
Where can i buy new bearing from? will good performance(yennora) have bearings? (input shaft, clutch). As im going for gearbox recondition there, i already have clutch and flywheel just no bearings.

If it is the common sound that d-series gearbox make then it is not just the clutch and the release bearing. My uncle and I figured that it is the input shaft bearing.

I found this on OH:
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?12789-DIY-Tranny-removal-and-Input-Shaft-Bearing-change&highlight=ISB

If you need bearing and other parts hit up ozie spares on Sackville St and Bearing Industries at 160 Fairfield St F East.

The Input shaft bearing seal, with the bearing, drive shaft seals on the gearbox and clutch kit could be setting you back around $300.

I got everything for around that price.
