If they do a recall in Australia, then no matter what age or build date, it will be fixed for no cost to the owner.

maybe they use a longer hose and same rack for the yank spec?

If the issue is very serious and life threatening, i am sure HA will do the recall....They may be ignoring the pinging issue as the pinging is not a threat for the human life and it may be a threat for the life Car engine life...

Hope the issue is only in USA models, same as what Toyo gone through with recalling corollas..

My CL9 had the cracked power steering hose problem in 2007 and it was fixed under warranty.

Honda Motor Co. is recalling about 167,000 Acura TSX cars to fix power steering hoses that could deteriorate and cause a fire under the hood. The Acura recalls (http://www.automd.com/recall/acura_m/) includes TSXs from the 2004-2008 model years. The National Freeway Traffic Safety Management says on its engine that high conditions under the cover could cause the power steering hose to crack and leak power steering oil.

Honda OZ has done the recall but notice how they wait and see if anyone notices that such a recall is happening in America before they do it here. The pinging problem was ignored here for ages before they undertook a fix for it. Even then it was not an official recall because it was not safety related.
