I have a 2009/10 jazz. Since new the wipers leave two beads of water across the screen which come from the tip of both the long and short blades - long blade on the drivers side and short blade on the passenger side.I complained to our Honda dealer at the time of the free service and they told me they had given the screen a clean and "it will be OK, now". As I had previously cleaned the screen I wasn't too sure about this but accepted their word. The problem wasn't fixed... so I had another go at them and today. having taken the car in again, they tell me it is a design problem and can't be fixed, sorry, sorry!!! Am I the only one with the problem, it drives me nuts seeing the lines across the screen in the wet, or is it a design issue as Honda tell me? I find it almost unbelievable that Honda would put a car on the market with such a basic fault, if it is actually a design issue. I had a 2005 Jazz before this one, no problem with that one.

Any experts out there with an answer or advice?

It is not uncommon to have doggy wiper rubber on new cars fresh out of the show room. My own theory is the car spend a long time on ship in transit from Asia/Japan. The salty air could have degraded the wiper rubber.

I have a CRV and an Euro Accord Tourer. On both cars, the wiper rubber inserts have to be replaced by the Honda dealer within days of taking ownership to fix streaking problem.

The issue for you is going to be if you have taken ownership for months now, the dealer could always blame it on the weather if they wanted to.
