does anyone know what the white cable is for?
the car i bought the idiot off did the wiring wrong.
clock use to drain my battery (currently not in use)

Black = Ground
Yellow = Constant
Red = Power/Ignition
White = ?????

maybe its for when u turn ur headlights on so that the clock lights up.

thanks for being the only person to get back to this.

i was thinking it could be part of the dimmer.

will figure it out tonight.

im guess u have an eg civic? if i have some time 2morrow ill pull it out and check for u. i think its part of the dimmer 2, just cut a bit of the insulation off and use a volt meter to see if it changes with the dimmer.

problem solved.

this was the colour coding for MY car not too sure about in general.

White = Constant
Yellow = Ignition +
Black = Ground -
Red = Dimmer

yeah was just about to say that i follwed the white one at the wreckers and it was a constant beat me to it lol.
