Hi Everyone,

Im thinking of buying a 06 euro luxury. I know it might sound weird but can anyone tell me if the standard stereo is any good? Does it compare with the Lexus premium sound in a IS200 for example?

Cheers.

not fantastic; doesn't compare at all to harmon kardon premium systems etc - i'm not sure what the IS200 premium system is.

however if you do away with the stock speakers and upgrade to some better splits and 6x9s the improvement is noticeable. my old euro had MB quarts all round and it was great!

add a sub with a line out converter and it's even better.

overall did the job well, unless you're an audiophile.

i think the stock stereo of the accord euro is really good for an un-modified system.

adjust the bass and treble to suit the song and it pumps fair cleanly.
some of my friends have mistaken my sound system (pumped full blast) for having a sub-woofer.

"POP YOUR BOOT BRO, I WANNA SEE YOUR SUB" they would say LOL.

but yeah, like euromandeluxe said compared to a stock is200 premium system it sounds shit house, but other than that, i think it's fair good.

It's a reasonable system compared to all the stock crap out there in Toyotas, but don't expect it to stand head to head with a modest aftermarket system that is properly set up.

Iv'e got a 2005 and I find the stereo to be fairly poor in regard to the standard one that was in my 1991 Soarer that I just sold. Adequate would be my opinion, but not something that should be associated with a car that has a luxury tag

defs need to change the splits and add a sub and amp. You should be happy with that, 6x9 are decent but you wont notice it so much since your sub will be dealing the bass :) but then again you might as well get aftermarket 6x9 just to make it sound sick.

i reckon its great for stock. music sounded fine even with minor tweaks and vol up.

But then i brought some things that cost a lot.....and now cannot bear stock audio...LOL

The Euro is not a luxury car though. Not at that cheap price point. The Soarer should have a reasonable sound system, especially since it came with a subwoofer as well out of the factory.

i found the stock system pretty good....compared to my friends is200 (dunno if it was standard or lux ) they were pretty simular i would say. thats just my opinion....

on the other hand i installed a double din head unit with nav (poineer) and now my system sound pretty crap.....will be changing my speakers/sub and amp comming in when i get the time
