I have a chance to get a Hondata S100 for my car, I'm currently putting a turbo kit together but as for now my car only runs typical mods such as intake, exhaust and headers.
Would I still need to tune the Hondata S100 if I get it installed now?
So basically, runining the base map for now, and than tuning it for boost later on

nope dont have to tune it.

when i had my b20vtec i had a crome ecu with a base map. Ran that for like 2-3weeks obv takin it easy since i had a d series before then i went to tune it..

so to your answer no you dont have to tune it.

If the S100 purchase comes in an OBD1 ECU & is 2nd hand. ie. It's beeen used & tuned previously in another car,
Then sure, you have a pretty good chance it'll work.
Of course the other car would have had to be similar in setup etc.
However, if the S100 is purchased is new & or the chip has ben replaced with a new one...
You're up shit creek... New chips are blank & you need a bit of hardware to put a base programe on the chip.
Hondata Rom Editor 4 cable + Chip burner.
If you have these parts, buy an Emulator & an S200 & do it yourself. :p
If you don't have these parts, you'll need to find someone that does...
With luck, your unit is 2nd hand & already to go.

They've not made the S200 for years now

The majority of new units are!

S100B
S300B

So basically bottom or top of the range lol

I'm running the S100B just fine

I don't need launch con-gay to help me drive :p

Adrian's polishing his Rom Editor again!! hahah send ya blind if ya not careful

S300 is the last model I believe for the S series.
If your base-map was tuned for similar if not exact mods of your car, you should be fine to run it for awhile.
