i got a restoration project comming up.
the car has firewall rust on top near the the windscreen area.
it have a few chunk out from the firewall..
it willbe get fix soon but i wanted to do it DIY!
any idea how to fix ?
Im thinking grinding back to metal. get kill rust remove all the rust metals.
Get a plate and weld it up to the firewall where the hole is.
Question is .. what Welder i need to use? i oly have arc / electric welds at home.
but i can get some tig / mig hired out from local shops.
Friend of mine suggested me to use OXY welder.. which is hard to come by.. and have to get a tank of gas out or go to a workshop which means LOTS of money!!
If any one in perth - WA willing to help! it would be great :thumbsup:
