Is it a K20?

How about this,it costs U nothing!

http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?132174-Modifying-the-stock-Throttle-body-for-more-air-flow

Strip weight from that heavy thing!

What is ecu reflashed? Is that chipped.Becuase tuning will yeild good benefits/gains.

That's great, any numbers to share however

hey yer man ecu tuning helps the fuel per km but whit the power gains u get u kno turns u into an even bigger rev head so shuld explain itself id beable to get faster in a shorter distance so im reving higher using more fuel depends on how u drive :) but still its worth it and um nah man i cant give u and figures on my gains shuld dyno it but from what ppl hav told me intake+headers+exhaust has freed up rounf 10 - 15 kw. the ecu tuning was 25 - 30 hp alone and not sure about the sparkies but i culd feel a difference. better responce to throttle :)

haha bret i think you asked that in nearly all your posts :p

So i think what beeza's trying to ask is, is your motor a K20?

Is it a K20?

Trying?

It was the very first thing I said and I asked it in every post afterwards.

K20 isnt that a civic engine?

beeza

:)

From an accord,pretty sure..

Should be what U have, can U get a pic of the engine?

Mugen_Euro

its got the stock engine in their. its the 2.4 L 2003 accord euro engine what eva that is i can get a pic later if u want. its nto a bad engine stock just flat acceleration in 3rd gear onwards and shit all torgue at low revs.

That's annoying!!

Yeah that's a K24,the most powerful of engines, just need to get it in a light chassis :)

Mugen_Euro

well if the k24 is even better play around with it and make it a beast :) and then just let vtec kick in yo lolol

haha yeah!

Check out this Vtec action!

That was from the QLD yearly meet last year, are U in QLD?

If you wanted to make it a monters, you could always put a k20 head on it :D
Let it rev til 9k, oh that sweet sound of vtec haha!
And the k20 was also featured in the accord euro, but was only in the JDM type R version, we, as always missed out on that one....

So how would he be able to pick up some low end torque?

I mean the easiest/cheapest/best way.

Mugen_Euro

will that let me rev to 9? is that it starts to redline at 9 or what? an how much wuld it be?
lol

Haha low end torque and honda normally dont go together :P
But there are, from what little things i know, that could give you low end torque, but maybe not so 'cheap'
Cams and cam gears, get a set that ingauge vtec earlier maybe, or short gear ratio, could get something like a 4.4 or 4.7, wont give you torque but will increase acceleration.
And a bigger TB will decrease low end torque, as there is too much flow into the head to be use-able, just like getting over-sized header/exhaust.
Seems to me that you have already done most of the good solid basic mods, without building the head or going FI, i dont think you'll notice too much more performance gains with bolt on's engine wise.

Haha i was being very vauge...
IF you built a k20 head, valve springs, valves, cams, the lot, you could easily get it revving to 9k, and yes that would mean your redline would be roughly 9000 rpm! (depending on tune reliability etc)
If you want more info on anything like this, i would recomend talking to benson or the like, who have done this or are going down this path, as they will have WAY more info on it then my 'abc' advice :p

Cam,cam gear + tuning would definately make it more aggressive, giving it some good low end torque and is probably the solution.

how much am i lookin at?

I would love to put a k20a head on my k24 motor but I can't imagine it would be cheap as the k20 engine goes for around $7-$9,000. Would also like to know how much modification would be needed or is a straight fit? I'm pretty sure ull find that a k20a will b much quicker than a k24a stock for stock, even if they were in the same weight car
