dc2 b20 gearbox 2nd gear

hey guys im not sure if this is a common problem but all of a sudden (in about 2 hours of driving), i noticed problems with my second gear. it started off with the gear just popping out at random, then it just wouldnt go in at all, and now my second gear doesent work at all, all i get is a jerking and heavy crunching.. so i dont bother.. i just go from 1st the 3rd

know what this problem is?? what i need to get done to get it fixed?? how much will it cost me??

There are two possible reasons for this
One being incorrect stack height leading to the second gear to the 1/2 operating sleeve being incorrect
The other is miss shifting that lead to second gear ring to wear and then lose of engagement retention.

your most probably going to have to replace the cable bushings if they have been worn, or replace the transmission housing for for second.
pending on the mechanic u go to prices will vary.
some mechanics can do this without removing the gearbox and remove the right fender and work from there.
