accord vs au xr6

had to happen sometime or another, waiting at lights with 3 mates in my car, 2 young blokes pull up in a manual au xr6 sedan, i gave my car a small rev to show him I was interested, the smirls on their faces were pricelesss due to the fact what i was going to do to him next.... lights go green and i smoke him, we go again at next set of lights and this time there was no smile on his face, we're off again, i get to a hundred and maintain that speed ( 100kph zone) and he is a full 3-4 car lengths behind until he flies past lol.

i dont see why not the h22 wouldnt give an AU XR6 are go, i mean the AU XR6 was nothing special, it was really just an ordinary 6 with a little tweak, with extra bodykit etc. the BA XR6 would be a better run though, alot more improvement over the AU series falcons. donc instead of ohc, better chassis/suspension etc.

The BA xr6 isnt anything special, and when driving the auto its almost impossible to spin the wheels. Its the xr6t you have to be careful of, they have a great power delivery system that launches harder than most similarly powered jap rwd.

The BA XR6 Turbo is indeed a monster.. but it lags.. My loaded TJ Magna Sports could only keep up with the car till 3rd gear before the XR6T flew away from me and I ate his dust and my car had in excess of 200HP at the wheels..

I dragged one with my Euro too and it was a match made to lose from the beginning LOL.. I ate alot of his dust :P

i agree the auto xr6 t lags, i have raced my best mate in his auto xr6t and i blew him away to 100, im sure if he spooled it up it would go better.

i have another friend with a manual xr6 t with a proven 215kw atw on c&v performance dyno. anyway we had an auto vs manual rolling start
at 40kph, both cars selected in 1st gear so they were both on boost. the auto was a tiny bit slower but made up for it with quicker gearchanges so the manual fell behind.

both cars were carrying a passenger each and i gave the signal to accelerate.


i have raced the manual xr6 turbo of my friends but only once, i got him at the start then he gave up, he claims to have bogged it down in the launch which is why
i got ahead so fast.

It could just come down to the drivers becuase i have driven both the auto and manual xr6t and they to seem faster then my car.
