Hi everyone

I used to drive a R18A Fd1
And last week... a lady has bumped into my rear so hard that my car was totaled
her insurance company is paying me 16k
and now I have a budget arround 20k for my next car

I want something faster than my previous car
and within my budget, I am considering Dc2R or civic 8 sport
I test drove a DC2R today and it was a lot faster than my Fd1
However.... the DC2R is really old and have 150k+ km
I know the sport version only has 150hp and is a lot heavier than the Vti
But is it any good?
Or do you guys have better suggestion for my next car that is within my budget? (20k)

Thank you so much

Buy the sport.
the K20Z compliments the heavier interior.

The Sport does not have anywhere near the performance of the DC2R. But it is a more practical car.

The sport is roughly the same speed as your FD1 will be, so it's not going to be fast. It'll have foggies, spoiler, 17"s etc... and a sunroof XD

If you want fast, maybe take a look at DC5R's?

yeah ill say if you want a fast car ill rather head for a DC5R maybe be a bit over your range but still
May satisfy you

Yeh as the others have said the DC5 is what you want, or maybe the EP3, if it's in your price range.

hey there,
i own a 07 civic sport. i think its pretty nice and practical car to get around in. i haven't had anything that has gone wrong with the car yet, its a pretty looking car and its easy on the fuel too. but on the other hand i do also have a dc2r with a little bit of work done on it. to be honest to u i do drive my fd more since its more comfortable and lest noisy

wtf, repairable write off and he still wants 20k? and he's not telling people either.....

Great looking car though. You relaly have to ask him what happened with the write off too, because it might not be ultra seirous

repairable write off on a relatively new car would have to be pretty serious...
More than just stolen seats...
think about it the insurance company has to think that it would cost more to fix than the market value of the car...
hence repairable write off...

Theres a 1 second difference between a Type S Integra and my Civic Sport in the quarter mile. Ask me how i know.

So basically, barely any difference in performance, leaving it up to everything else the cars have to offer. goodluck mate!

Isn't the Civic a 16 second car, while the Type S a 14-15 second car?

Haha a DC5R will be a lot faster than a FD2 but that being said, they are very different cars.

I was going to say if you get an FD2 and have cash to spend on it later on you could plug a k20a inside and do an FD2R conversion? those are nice

maybe he wasnt the best of drivers, but i was getting flat 16's and he was getting something like 15.2

there was probably more in the type s, however there was also more in the fd2 as my tyres kept slipping
