hey guys, i came across a set of replica facelift headlights for my ek from jdmshit.com
http://www.jdmshit.com/parts/headlights/index.html
http://www.jdmshit.com/parts/headlights/EKblackheadlights99.jpg
for $125 "shipped" (prob have to add more to ship to aus)
just wondering if anyone had any past experiences with replica items from these people, and the fact that these headlights might be for LHD cars only so the right hand side is brighter.. etc
ive read mixed comments about them, communication was poor for some, fitment was terrible for some etc, but then for the price its quite a bargain?
cheers

Comments don't sound too great.
I'd save my money tbh.
And if its facelift headlights,
did you convert your car to the facelift?
Or is it just black housing but pre-face-lifted?

sorry i think im on crack but im not sure what you mean
my car is facelift 2000 model
i was thinking of either:
-buying oem ctr headlights for about 600-700 shipped
-diy black housing, but need to buy a used rhs light as mine is cracked, so total of about $150 (with paint etc) but end product might not turn out good
-pay about 150 - 200 shipped for these replicas
i've bought from jdmsh!t early this year, it took ages for them to reply to my emails and deliver goods after placing order,
I paid through paypal and got my goods in @ 2 weeks...
not too bad, but not too happy for the long wait in their reply

i'd recommend not buying at all, that LHD/RHD makes a huge difference...

what did you buy out of interest? does it look like they manufacture these products themselves or does it come from the same factory as any other replicas?

but isnt it just as easy to adjust the rhs so it points a little bit downwards? if anything i have hids on reflector and thats already illegal..
im just trying to convince myself to buy them, build quality looks really nice from the pic thats why
soemone prove me wrong!!!
I did a group buy for crxaustralia total of 12 J racing replicas, front lips,
got it for a good price, although products are not the best of quality,
i'm happy with what I got... cause they aren't easy to get...
I don't really know where they get their products, but I know they don't manufacture it themselves!

I'd probably pass on the headlights just because the reviews werent too great, but then again its your choice :)

Why not leave your headlights.
OEM is best.
Or buy OEM EK9 Headlights.
Replica shit is only gonna end up trashed or replaced with OEM stuff anyway.

Yeap. Two screws behind the headlights. One for horizontal axis, another for vertical axis. :)

/agree if you're really keen on the lights then by all mean but I have to agree esp on the EK9 headlights
you get what you pay for usually, just try and keep that in mind i guess

yeah i rekon ill pass on these set, but i found a DEPO branded ones on ebay, seller seems to know their shit so ill see whether its worth buying.
its got parker slots, looks pretty much OEM and costs less than half the price of the oem ones. ill post some photos if i decide to buy it.
thanks for the inputs guys, i just personally dont think its worth spending $600+ on a set of headlights, better off spending it on performance parts IMO

i bought a set of generic headlights for my DC5 a few years back.
they were good for the first 6 months to a year. then clear coat on lense started to flake.
however, i use to park in the sun all day.
