94-97 and 98-01 tail lights???

Hey guys,

just wondering if the tal lights on both makes of the DC2 are the same size......cos i just sold a pair of my 96 to a guy with a 2000 teggy and hes worried they might not fit.


I thought it was only the front headlights that changed so any help would be appreciated....

umm, the 98 model whcih i have has the type r rear lights.
however, the model i have was made up till 99?

so unless your talking about the latest model, then im' sure it would fit

yeah...just wondeirng if the 96 model tail light(vtir) actually fit on my 2000 model ITR...cos i fitted them...and it fits fine...but there seem to be like 5mm gap which is noticable due to the different colour...so it looks as it doesnt fit...and yeah... i used to have altezza lights as well and it has the same thing...and my car hasnt been in an accident at all...so yeah...maybe some of u might help me out in this... thx! :)

i'm pretty certain they're the same dimensions all through out...

ring around places like hondwreck i'm sure they'll source broken rearlights all the time and can give u a proper answer :)

notice the gap between the top of the tail light and the boot/rear side panel?? both tail lights have the gap... :(

You really can only compare factory items in this thread, aftermarket brands bring an extra variable into it :)

its not only my altezza tat has gaps...its the oem tail lights i got off JRC too...they are the 96 model tail lights...and has the same gap as the one shown on the pic(altezza)...

maybe ur missing rubbers that are supposed to go in the gap ????

im guessing all taillights would have some kinda rubbers around the edges ???

Nothing wrong with your tail lights, diff between 94-97 DC2 and 98-01 DC2 taillights only on the blinkers colour, on 94-97 is amber colour when on 98-01 is like whitish colours, that gap is you saw since the altezza got chrome colour but on OEM that colour should be black plastic. No matter what model/year of DC2 their taillights will fit. Maybe check the gasket on the rear of the taillights that stuck to your actual body of the car. Did u buy your DC2 off Holden car shop at Princess Hwy on Tempe?. Hope this clear up your question

the new model lights are the same, only difference is the blinker lens which is a very light orange/amber, almost clear as opposed to straight orange/amber
