Hey guys,

Got an 04 accord euro ive been driving i drive it around a lot lately and i can hear a lot more engine noie so i thought id check oil levels and i presumed they are low.
below the lowest marker..
anyway question is, is it alright to mix oils? i got it serviced ages ago and im not sure what oil they put in, but ive got oil laying around that i use to use for my old civic. is it alright to top it up with that?
i only have like 2500kms till next service anyway.

regards.

Na, don't mix man. Call the Mech and find out what they used. Then use the rest for the next service.

i did this on my car, but only to get to the store to buy flush and oil.
But if your doing it to get around the 2500km, do an oil change and in your service tell them not to do the oil.

just do the service 2,500KMs earlier? presuming ur going by the book and doing it every 10,000KMs, doing it on 7,500 aint going to do nothing but good

15w-40 is what they used, semi synthetic.
went down to kmart to buy some oil closes i could find was 10w-40 (1L for $13)semi syn and it worked wonders, car seems to running smoother and quieter too.
