What oil for my 93 civic GL?

I got this car recently and thinking about doing an oil change, but not sure what oil to use?

In the end they all do the same thing. You will feel a slight difference in smoothness at the very begining, but after a week or less it just feels the same. Its up to personal preference. Try catrol magnitec, heard its good or your recommended honda products.

stay away from Valvoline and Penzoil. I've heard some really bad things about those 2 and the i've tried the penzoil before also, its really crap.

The Honda oil is a very decent and good value for its cost. If you want better try something like mobil 1. but it goes for like $50 whereas the hond oil goes for like $27

i would recommend honda original or Castrol Synthetic R 5w-30

castrol formula R 5w30 is great performance wise and in cold weather but it aint so good in hot weater as its a bit thin and wont give the best protection and will burn up fairly quick.
for warmer weather go a heavier oil such as 10w40.
but do a search on this. there is a big thread in the technical section

On that particular car i would use whatever is on special. But if you want somthing decent use honda FEO you really cant go wrong.

Casrtol 5W-30 is great. But since your GL is 10 years old now, Id probley stay away from low viscosity Oils. My recommondation is Honda FEO.
