hey guys,
i have a 2007 civic sport and now i am feeling the need more power,
i have owned a dc2r so i pretty much miss it all.
so i was thinking one is to build the motor or two is upgrade to a k20a
what things would i need in the upgrade if i decide to do so ?

On a car that new I wouldn't bother, sell it and buy a dc5r. The amount of money that u will piss away will put u back 5 years financially. Think with ur head not ur heart

^ I agree. It's too new to be converted. Sell and go FN2 or DC5?

Don't you already have a k20? its k20z though. Why waste the money on getting a k20a.

yeh civic sport have the k20z, its pretty pointless, swaping. may feel sluggish because its not as lightweight and nimble as older honda's. you'll never get the sporty feel of a dc2r with the new civic regardless of the engine swap.

if you want more power, why not get a hondata k-pro ecu? that will slap the k20z engine from its slumber!

Or have a K-series builder slap on a K24 bottom end - frankenstein that bitch for massive torque!

what geeang said! rather do that then swap a whole jdm or aud k20a. make some use of the engine you already got which is a k20.

Honestly I reckon sell and get an older Civic with a B-series. The B has more soul IMO compared to the K...

imo, assuming what youve said is true,
how about some performance mods?
a nice intake will make it seem more fun

n MAYBE (if this is not gunna affect the 'too new' situation) some coilovers n some struts.

my 2 cents.

EDIT: id kill for a 2007 civic sport, no joke. they are hella nice cars
