Gearbox advice

I had a bearing problem with my gearbox as it was making a knocking sound when idle. Took it to the mechanic and he had the blown bearings replaced but the sound is still there, so im planning on getting a new gearbox to be fitted it. Its a 95 Eg hatch but with an 2000'EK D16y7 Engine, can the gearbox be from a different honda, say an integra or VTi, i really want one that can handle power and last longer.

as long as the gearbox is from a D series u can mate it to your D series engine... look at the first letter on the gearbox it will assist you.
and vti-r integra uses a b series.
