Well yesterday I was fixing my left speakers as they don't work, I even used a battery to check to see it it would work but no sound or noise. So I dis-mental the Glove box and pulled out the LHS Speakers wires to check and it short out.
I already checked the fuse and got them replace. I checked all lines and they are in tack. The windows won't wind up, as if its stuck or something. I don't know whats wrong with my eg civic window as they don't work anymore. Both sides are down and won't wind up. Also my RHS door central locking wont even work as well. It won't even lock up when you turn the key to lock. The left one works but not the right side.
Can anyone please help or know how to fix it. If needed more info please let me know and I will have a look and check. I'm hopeless arghhhhh.

woah dude.
The speakers wires would not have shorted out, it must have been something else. Check fuses, But make sure you have identified and isolated the short first! If you have lost boath power windows then it must be a supply failure. Check for 12v with ign on where it should be. places like the fuse box through the fuse and to the window switches or relays.
When you shorted did you get any smoke or smell "ozone" or a brown smell (no not the type that comes from your pants)
As i sad, make sure you have isolated the short before troubleshooting.

from the sound of things looks like the + and - wires touched and caused a short. double check the fuses and make sure there the correct ones.

I have check all fuses and replaced them. I have checked the short out and it was the main power supply from the car to the head unit. Heard a big tick noise and thats it. no smoke or nothing. Replace the green box thingy where the window wires goes into as well but still wouldn't work. Even the central locking from my right side door dont work aswell.

I want too but, I rather DIY so I dont have to spend anything haha. You know learning these kinds of stuff comes handy.
Funny how I check all wires and fuses and theres nothing wrong with it. The speakers I put in kinda touches the window but yet again when I took them off and try to wind it up, it wouldn't go up either. I thought it was the speakers that are holding onto them but nope. The mirrors don't work either. Stupid short out crap. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH and its raining.

I'm not too sure, I'm very clues in this now. I have fixed the mirror and the central locking and got it working now. But still not the window. Such a pain, I hate figuring things out, it's a state of mind damage.

get a multimeter and ohms check the speaker itself, it could be goneskies.
if it touched a grounding point you might have created a ground loop which wouldve killed one of them.
check relays but i doubt that would be it, its definately a fuse. pull of them them out lol and check them.
when you open the door does the center light turn on or does the open door light on the dash turn on ?

yes have and now the LHS speakers work. The what don't work is the windows not winding up. Still clueless on that part.

some newer cars have the requirement to "reset" the power windows when the power is interfered with. ie, expended time without a battery or after an accident. this requires you pressing certin random things in the car. one car i know of requires pushing the window controls in a set order and for set periods of time.
No idea why. NFI at all, its just stoopid. It sprolly just a feature to force you to take it to oem repairer to get it fixed so the manufacture can keep making money off you.
Try calling a local smash repairer and ask them if your model has any such feature.
