Hi guys,
my car was recently rear ended and my preferred smash repairer was approved for the repair so they gave me a free service and safety check. On the servicing statement It noted front and rear brake pads had 90% remaining, and that the front cross member was damaged.
I asked my guy about the crossmember, he said it cost about $1000 to fix but I wouldn't notice any difference when driving my car. When i look under the car , I can see a bit of rust on the edges of the crossmember ( most likely it was the result of a speedhump or something )
So my question is, should I do anything in regards to this? Also at what % of wear would i need to change my brake pads? The car was bought in feb 2009, and has 15000 k's on the clock. Thanks alot!
