hey guyz im just trying to feed some wires below my battery in the little plug provided as recommened by many ppl on this forum, when i removed the rubber cap i noticed there was some white curly material behind it that i removed and even further behind that is what i believe to be a plastic wall? is it ok to drill through this to feed my wire through? as its blocking my wires from being fed through to the passenger side.
ps i have a 2000 ek

if you are drilling a new hole in the fire wall double or even triple check that there arent any hoses, electronics behind. and make sure you use a rubber grommet/bush for the cable/s to go through. if this is not done, the sharp edges of the hole with slowly but surely eat at the insulation of the cable. causing shorts and possibly a fire.

ye that is true, i really dont want to drill a new hole, i just find it so impossible to feed it through any other way, surely someone out there has at one point had as much trouble with their ek cxi as i have?

i dont know if the EK are the same to EG's, but there is a unused grommet/bush behind the battery. not directly behind it, more closely to the intake manifold.
