Just wondering if anyone can tell me how much they cost? Do I have to go to a Honda dealer? My one has gotten to a stage where you have to be practically next to the car for the remote to work and sometimes it just doesn't work.

Change it anyway just to make sure - It'll cost you less than $5 and you know for sure. Anyways that aside, I know strathfield car radio are doing a full install for $200. I can't remember the brand however it was alright (the one with the spider). Had an immobiliser as well

Wow, that is pricey. I think I might just try replacing the battery then anyway. See how it goes. I assume going to Honda would be a bad choice?

No harm in giving honda parts a call and see what they quote you. Dont be shocked if they say 200+ though. Hence why most people just go down the aftermarket alarm path.
Also, some thing to try. Get a hold of some contact cleaner (dick smith or the likes) and while you have the remote open, give all the switches and battery contacts a good clean. Might help ;)

Alright I'll give that a go, thanks for your help. I really hope it doesn't need replacing, but the guy who sold it to me said it would :(.
