hi peeps,

i am looking at buying this: Honda legend '89 (http://cars.ebay.com.au/Honda-Legend-1989_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQitemZ120570518078)
my friend had one he bought brand new and says i need special sports tyres for it?

any thoughts

nah mate. just standard tyres will do ..
whatever size the rim is . obviously if u got like 20's on it you need special tyres otherwise if its just stockies your fine.. tyres for that wouldnt cost more than 100bux each

i have one the exact same as that.
My parents owned it and then decided to let me have and when they had it they had to get new tires and yeh were told that from bob jane. Personally i think its a load of bull so you should be all good with what the recomendations are for the car (I dont have them on me, its on the drivers door if you do end up buying it)
I now have 18s on it and shes looking might fine :)

Goodluck with the buying, be good to have somemore legends around here

89 Legend coupe came with 205/60 VR15 tyres. So when buying tyres, just make sure that the tyres that you get have the same or higher speed and load ratings.
