Hi guys,

I would like to know if I am able to use the dc2 vtir rear brake setup on my ej8. And are they abs?

yes you can, the handbrake cables are also fine to use
the abs will also work fine (make sure the conversion has the abs senders intact (everything upto the orange clip that connects under the rear seat) (not cut, as new ones are around 150-220ea depending where you get them from) as you cant use ej8 ones at all as theyre an entirely different shape/size)
the vtir is abs also

check the conversion very well, replace the trailing arm bushings (very easy if theyre off the car, put into a vice and get a rubber mallet, works fine lol, of if you were in brissy would be 60 for me to do if theyre off the car as I have the correct tool :)) and pads (possibly rotors if theyre too low to be machined or in poor condition) as a minium if it's been sitting there for yrs lol

ps I like post repping good info :)

well all abs vehicles have a sensor on the drums/disc assembly.... u cannot run non abs cxi rear disc, as they have no abs sensor attachment, or sensor, which is why this swap is such a bitch wen comin 2 keeping the abs... if worst comes to worst, i will rip out the abs system, an jus run non abs system in pursuit of running the car on track days..

id say either get EK4/EM1 rear brake assembly which is perfect fit, but im finding it hard to even find ek4/em1 brakes, or jus stick to integra rear disc, which is probs what ill do next yr

I'd be comfortable spending the 400 on parts if the parts were from a low kilometre car with no strutural damage, mint abs harnesses (no cuts), legal hoses, functional calipers, working handbrake (test when possible), best deal locally Ive found was 750 drive in an out, then I'd be up for discs and pads later in the year (380+150)

Integra ones are your best bet, even though its good to find when a non smashed ek4 owner goes to five stud, doesn't happen to often but when they do move fast lol
