View Full Version : Honda Civic( Uk Version ) 1998

I own this Honda Civic Uk Version. I use too own a 1.6 Vtec Ek Civic, think i just won´t go away from those Honda's, just love them.
Anyway, this is what my car used to look like :

Then i went and did may things for the car, painted the gray spot, changed a altenator, fixed the brakes all around and more and more :

As i said, i like this car, just need to lower it at the back, schlaaaaam.

I'm pretty sure this car was built as a collaboration with Rover back in the 1990s....

It's actually on a Domani platform which wore several badges in different countries.

since wen did honda ever cheap out??? lol, seriously, why use another manufacture an re badge it, when theres a perfectly good chassis to use!

It has nothing to do with cheaping out. It was Honda's chassis that Rover was using (before they were purchased by BMW).

Most manufacturers have done some form of badge engineering in their time. It's usually a trade of machinery and manpower for design and image.

Sorry, don't own a engine bay photo yet, too dirrty hehe but it has a 1500 Econo Vtec engine, 115 horsepower i think, very cheap car to go just A to B, low gas mileage :))

That's an Acura EL/domani/Gemini front, i like how they're a bit more aggressive than the UK Civics.

they did the same here in oz with the old teg.. once they sold too many in oz the rebadged (rover) and kept selling...
