Just opened up the compartment to which the polymer filter is meant to be and to my surprise there wasn't one. Just wondering if this is normal for an FD1 Civic Vti or have Honda forgotten to put one in for me. Could explain why i can still feel air gushing through the vents even though the A/C is off, but yeah, any relevant response to this would be awesome.

thanks

yeah what i meant was everything is off. even the fan but i can still feel a slight gush of air coming out from the vents. probably normal then. does the filter make much of a difference? would you recommend it?

Good to have the filter. It is standard on the Accord Euro and it does pick up plant seeds, insects and bits of leaves. I buy mine from ebay which comes up to about 1/2 the price of the dealer for an equivalent aftermarket brand.

air flows through no matter what - probably to keep you from suffocating or getting tired when driving. If you want no air, try turn of recirculation maybe? (just a thought)

I have an air filter too, and when i took it out to brush it a bit, it was farkin crazy! little nuts and sticks and dust bunnies in it...
