hey guys

iv got a set of rims that are 15x7 +20 on my EG. im wondering what would be the most suitable set of tyres to run with natural camber

atm im running 195/55/15 and failing. the tyres wont clear the guard as they stick out to much and the car wont drop enough to camber in as the profile is to big.

i know JDMYARD sell their sportmax with a 195/50 and it clears fine.

what i want to know is will a 185/50 fit/suit better then the 195. dont want to get the wrong tyre and find the car wont drop enough.

thanks in advance

I'm surprised that you're failing with +20 offset.

Are your guards rolled already?

As for your actual question, I seriously don't think a 185/50 will fit a 15x7 wheel, will it? 195 would probably curve in a bit but 185 I think would be too much of a stretch to fit.

So in other words I wouldn't go to 185, that's kinda thin so you'll lose a bit of grip. I'd get the guards rolled first if you haven't.

i think 185 would be good. my friend got 175s lol and it actually stretched out nicely not leaving much of the lip to stick out. only a few mms.

atm im failing becuse of my tyres which are 195/55/15.

i just want to confirm a 195/50/15 will let me drop the car with rolled guards. or would a 45 profile be better

Your tyres will just look thinner, but I thought you had a problem with tyre width, rubbing on the fenders?

Yeh that to. But I assumed a 50 profile will alow me to drop the car more with the rims have natural camber to tuck under the guards?

Changing your profile from 55 to 50 won't make a huge difference to your ability to dump. Need to tuck the tyres into the guards.

So best bet camber kit and stretch a 185/50 on there?

I recommend just camber kit and rolled guards, that should surely do the trick at 7" width and +20 offset.

how low are you trying to make the car? im running a 16x7 with a 205/45 profile tyre. my car is standard height but i could drop 3 or more inches without a worry

toyo proxes 4 will give you awsome grip even with loss of width in tyre 195/50/15
or toyo t1r 195/50/10 185/55/15 but will be more $$
