i was driving my car one day and thethe revs started to die.
i parked the car and let it ide. it was ilding between 2000 and 3000rpm.
when i touch the throttle, the idle drops and and the engine shuts off....

i cant start the motor now... i tried jumping it but all you hear is the starter motor cranking...
i can clutch start it but the idling problem is still there... as soon as i touch the throttle, the engine dies..

have any of you guys seen this before? and do you guys know what could be the problem?

Check your TPS wiring and the sensor itself
also check the MAP sensor / wiring , and do a ecu test to see if any codes are
showing

Get your FC hand controller...
Start the car or at least turn it onto the reds,
Press prev until you can select from monitor, setting & etc
Select ETC & press next....
Select Sensor/SW Check & press next...
TPS & MAP sensor voltages can be veiwed here on the left.

Also on the hand controller,
Check your fuel cut & idle settings... (Settings - Rev/idle)
If your electric load or A/C fuel cut is wrong, you'll also get the same issue

Also check if one of your mates isn't being a dick & swapped your MAP & TPS wiring around.
Cheers

thanks for the info.

i remember before this happened, when i looked at the map sensor in monitor, it showed negative vauum at idle and 0 at full throttle.. so im guessing its working correctly?

if i was to look at the TPS and MAP sensor voltages in ETC, what numbers should i see?
same thing for the fuel cut and idle settings..what numbers should i see?

i also want to note that the battery is dead..maybe from starting it too much or maybe alternator problem? is this common?

car still cant start...

one question regarding the power fc, if it was tuned, and then the power fc was disconnected from the power and then reinstalled into the car, is all previous tuning still in the map?ignition, fuel, cold start, idle....

thanks for your help guys...

the problem turned out to be the coil, which was replaced with an aftermarket one more almost one year ago, that failed.
thanks for you assistance guys.
