lol alex, get off here and go back to antrx!!!!! hahahaha

skunk2 are good if you don't have a type r manifold. Unless it was worked (the engine) or you can't be arsed reworking the standard type r manifold (porting) I wouldn't bother buying one.

Yea i think i read some where that the design of the Skunk2 was like a type R copy, like Chr1s said good up grade for non type R's

as said above, meant to be a good gain for non R motors

but for the price you pay im not sure its a bang4buck mod... think ~$500 for the manifold + ~$2 or 300 for the TB new?

is it true the intake is good for turbo as well ? i seem lot of them for D-series turbo in the US.

Turbo motors generally like big plenums.

I'd be modifying an ITR one by extending the plenum if I were you.

The Skunk2 Manifold was actually designed off the Type R manifold but there are changes that were made. We have made changes to the manifold for the Pro Series version by adding 8" tapered runners and enlarging the plenum. With the Skunk2 Manifold you can port the manifold to run TB's as big as 75mm while the OEM manifold will not be able to go past 64mm where the Skunk2 starts with out breaking into the IAC passages. The manifolds now come in both Black and Red wrinkle finishes to match your OEM valve covers.

ive got a skunk2 pro IM on my em1, from what ive read its very similar to the type R one and your prolly beter off jus keeping what you got n spendin the money elsewhere, the gains realy wouldnt be worth it for you since you've got a type R

i think it would be a good upgrade to the crappy B18c2 IM or if you are looking to boost a D/B
and i love that you are doing them in black now!

otherwise for B series use a B16a or B18c7 ... and for D series use the D16z6 or D16y8 intake manifolds

a type r intake manifold wont fit a b18c2 (non type r engine)
