i seen this on carsales. killer ride !!
yeh thats the one. its such a thrill ride the noise the way it feels its like a wind up toy on ADHD.
I should report 1st thing were doing is giving it a fresh coat of paint as its faded in some areas. and then it will be onto the functional mods if it doesnt have a purpose it wont be there. aiming to make it as light as possible current state it was last weight in under a tonne inc. driver whom was 75kg and im less than that only a small bloke. so with more sound deadening, glass removal, etc.. ill be happy to get it under 900kg. also trying to investigate into some aerodynamic mods inc. diffuser, splitters etc.. have some help from my g/f friend, she studies aircraft engineering and aerdodynamics or something along the lines of aero. so i may find a way to get access to a wind tunnel. and again the add ons will be functional and tested.
PS: I have all the interior trims and seats except drivers available with the car that i want to sell so if anyone is interested let me know

check out this thread as i need ideas to paint/graphic the car - http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?134778-Design-my-cars-race-graphics-livery!!-Needs-ideas
some minor updates, purchased a carbon fibre rear diffuser, front canards and fender flares will also look at fabricating a front splitter as the other parts will require modification also. ill get pics up when ive made some progress on fitment.
ok its all happening now, bought steering wheel KKR suede dished wheel, fixed back fibreglass buckets x2 (RED) (RECARO FOR SALE :), gauges and mounts, harness, catch can, aero bonnet pins, carbon bonnet on order, carbon tailgate coming soon and hopefully carbon front guards, thursday pick up the flares and cannards and have to fit the rear carbon diffuser, stripped interior further stereo is gone door trims gone replacing with alluminium sheet metal, move battery to rear, carry out body dent and paint repairs, graphics, replace master cylinder, retune ECU, prep the engine etc...heat shield, header wrap etc.. etc.. so much to do and so little time will need to be ready for the deadline.... SUNDAY 22nd AUGUST! week before auto salon. Wish me Luck ill post progress pics from tommorow... also can this be put into the build thread section? and can i have a PQ point please?
ok well after working non stop for past 2 weeks and now paying for it by being sick i have a quick chance to get some updates on here. my mate dave and i have been working every night after work to get this car ready in time for auto salon on 28th and 29th this month!! and decided to go all out and give the car a full reapair and respray in factory black with ppg custom red pearls mixed in. along with all this i have been working mad on it measuring and mounting diffusers, fabricating door panels, apinting cage and interior, mounting custom gauge pods, dressing up and working on engine bay and replacing the master cylinder etc.. chaning seats and mountings, etc... so much more to go, inc relocating battery installiong start button and kill switch, fabricating front diffuser etc.. and remember i only have les than 2 weeks to have it ready. overhaulin' eat your heart out! we finished painting it today.
here are the pics and lots of them with many more to come ENJOY!!!
ok in these pics just mocking up where to mount the gauges (drift iridium courtesy of autobarn chadestone) also note centre console will be gone and the lower section of the centre dash surrounding where the headunit was will also include the starter button kill switch etc.. where cig lighter was

ok later that night i started working on painting the cage in red (you will start to notice a theme appearing) and sit the carbon diffuser under the rear to see how it would look. in the meantime i had purchased a pair of fixed back fibreglass seats also courtesy of autobarn chadestone and started to mock the rail fitment which should be done by tommorow. (note recaro for sale very cheap)
156621566315667156661566415665
next day, my mate Dave (spraypainter) comes around to give me a hand on starting the bodywork and decides we resapray the entire car as we get into it there is alot of damage inc roof (possibly hail) lhf guard was too far gone so i sourced a good second hand one, meanwhile i had also been ordering parts for later down the track
156701566915668
sanding and rubbing and the late nights keep rolling in, note by this time i had cut and positioned where the diffuser is going to sit, also mounted a new battery tray in the rear and fixed a bracket to hold a tyre puncture can repair, also fabricated in the meantime the mount for the fire extinguisher and probably a few other things i have forgotten. also what do you think of the rear tow hook? with the diffuser it looks out of place atm i have left it off.
15673156721567115674
remember all this is done in my backyard under a carport at night in lovely melbourne weather thats been happening in the past 2 weeks, here it is ready and with the spray putty applied/being applied
156751567715676
its 2.30AM if your reading this i will get some sleep now and update the rest tommorow i have still yet to upload the finished paint result, engine bay mods, and more interior photos so stay tuned!!
here is a sneak peak!!

any updates dom :)
quick update is that im still waiting for the carbon bonnet to arrive and then i can put my aerotech bonnet latches, then im looking at mounting oil cooler, catch can etc.. but may need to upgrade the front bar to a mugen ? one to be able to fit them and ill be adding a front diffuser/splitter and have some small cannards i may fit, ill convert it to hydraulic clutch using an aftermarket set up and pedal box, then look at more lightweight mods (lexan/perspex rear glass) it has been weight before in its current state and it sits at 900kg without driver and im only a small guy.
and here are recent pics inc more build pics also pulled 110.8kw @wheels on the dyno at auto salon

Man that thing looks epic!
ok update! i have got a for sale thread although im not in a desperate way to sell it - hence im still upgrading and developing the car. just picked up a type R head that ill be sending away to have work done and then fit it up with my new cams etc...
also ordered J's racing front lip and rear wing! and soon to follow is upgrading the suspension with some ASR rear upgrades/ lower control arms etc.. and front camber kit.
Also found out the dates for the 2011 world time attack challenge to be in august so still deciding weather or not to prep this baby up to compete in that.?.
(note: just wondering if this could be moved into the build thread section)

Hell yes time attack that shit it would be awesome!
only thing is what category to run clubsprint or open, open i wont be as competitive in the pointy end and clubsprint i might be pushing beyond the class rules
